This talk will outline the impact of foreign funding of non-profits in India. It will analyse the fund flows to India that are regulated by the FCRA Act, 2010 by assessing the data on fund amounts being transferred to Indian non-profit entities and nature of donors and recipients and finally the uses to which this money is put. Shri Chandranath through examples discuss the impact of the funding on social and religious issues being brought to forefront by certain agencies which have received the funding and the overall impact of such strife on the narrative about India.
